Helen Zille, Cape Town city mayor and leader of the main opposition party, center, outside the court in Cape Town, South Africa, Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007. Zille appeared briefly in court in connection with a demonstration outside the houses of alleged drug dealers. Police say that Zille is encouraging self-style vigilantes to take the law into their own hands, whilst her supporters say the demonstrations reflect growing fury that drug lords are targeting children and ravaging entire communities with impunity.
